Moistmaker Gobbler Sandwich

I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!

We had yet another successful and delicious Thanksgiving Dinner. I have to tip my hat at Dustin for that. Thanksgiving is his holiday, and he becomes master of the kitchen.

Four years ago, Dustin and I were staring at our Thanksgiving leftovers and wondering what we could do with them without feeling like we were eating Thanksgiving Dinner Part Two. That was when we came up with this monster. I took part of the idea (the Moistmaker) from an episode of Friends – the layer of gravy soaked bread right in the middle of the sandwich.

I know this sandwich may not look like much, but I assure you, it is incredible! It has become a tradition of ours that the day after Thanksgiving is spent cutting down our Christmas Tree followed by making our favorite Moistmaker Gobbler Sandwiches. Even after stuffing myself with Turkey every Thanksgiving, I still happen to crave these bad boys the very next day. Here I am below just after the tree was cut.

I’m clearly excited to be getting back home to make my sandwich!

All you need to make this is your Thanksgiving leftovers and a loaf of sliced bread — whichever brand you prefer.

I hope you enjoy!
