Rockin Egg Nog

Hello Hello!

First, I want to wish you a happy holidays. Hopefully you’re staying warm this season.

I’m writing this post while Dustin bakes my birthday cake. Yes – today is my birthday! WOO!

This years has been a crazy one. It’s been filled with many, many ups and downs. It hasn’t always been easy, but the one thing that gets me through is our family, friends, the joy of the holidays, and the hope for better things ahead.

So, in the spirit of the holiday, here’s a yummy little Egg Nog treat for you.

I was never a big Egg Nog fan, that is, until our neighbors introduced us to Egg Nog with Jacquin’s Rock & Rye. It was so delicious, I went back for more! And I never go back for seconds with Egg Nog!

Of course, in true Dustin and Dana fashion, we took a recipe and made it our own. I didn’t know amounts when my neighbors made the drink for us, so we winged that part when we concocted this recipe. But the other additions to this is bourbon and nutmeg. And we LOOOOVE our bourbon.

This is a really tasty holiday drink. I may have some tonight with a piece of my birthday cake.

Anyway, I hope you give this a go! I think you’ll really enjoy it.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday and a magical New Year!

Enjoy!
